In this review of my book ‘All The World’s A Stage – A Personal Branding Story’ in the Frontline, I came across this term. What I have written was hugely embellished with the fantastic cartoons by Jayanto Banerjee. The growing religiosity….While we are many, We are also one. There are also several areas where generational divide is vanishing. In this guest column I wrote for Hindustan Times Sunday edition, I have examined the friction points across generations. The younger cohorts may not even know that there was a ‘waiting list’ for landlines and scooters in the not too distant past. The older generation will still remember the era of shortages and queues. Each of these generations carry a different memory of their lives. As we move into the 2030s we will see several generations living together. This has been aided by our ability to produce children as well as our ability to live longer. Are we also One? India is approaching the ‘most populous nation’ milestone soon.
